Meet the Team
Guy is a licensed Stock & Station Agent, Real Estate Agent, Business Agent and Auctioneer.
With Agency in his blood from a young age, Guy commenced work for the family business, Jacob & Anderson in February 1972 achieving strong results in both livestock and property sales.
Guy became principal of Jacob and Anderson with offices in Gunnedah and Boggabri in 1997 when his father retired. Through his guidance the business has prospered in the cut and thrust of agency life, selling weekly at the Gunnedah Saleyards, with rural property and residential real estate sales and a comprehensive rental roll.
Guy has also held the position of President and Treasurer with Gunnedah Stock and Station Agents Association.
Ted has over 40 years’ experience in the Australian agricultural sectors. In recent years he provided strategic advice to several leading agriculture and retail companies on supply chain strategies from farm gate to consumer, particularly for dairy, beef, and lamb products.
Previously he held senior executive positions at Wesfarmers Landmark Limited and Dalgety Australia Limited. He was Group General Manager Agency for Wesfarmers Landmark and was responsible for the national livestock, wool operations and real estate operations.
He is a former director of both AuctionsPlus and the Australian Wool Exchange, and a Past President of the National Council of Woolselling Brokers of Australia.
Clive has had 50 years in banking, finance, international commodities marketing, and mining industries.
Since 1988 has been the principal and founder of Commodity Corp Limited. The Company originally conducted brokerage services for commodities and commodities futures. The company now manages cocoa plantations in Pacific islands and manufactures high quality vegan chocolate products in New Zealand.
From 1998 to 2019 was also Executive Chairman of Sydney based investment bank MKS Capital. From 1977 to 1991 was an Executive Director and Divisional Head of Macquarie Bank. He was responsible for the bullion, commodities, mining finance and futures business.
He has previously been a director of GrainCo, Tennant Limited, Index Limited, and Polymetal Mining Services
Born and raised in Gunnedah, NSW, Chanel grew up in the cattle yards with her Stock & Station Agent father and grandfather.
Her career started in the newsroom at channel Nine/NBN working as a journalist covering news and sport across the North West of NSW. She also worked as the lead reporter for a radio station in the Eden Monaro electorate reading live to air bulletins.
Chanel’s love of tech grew in her role as Manager of Trade Events & Digital Content with travel tech platform TravMedia, where she managed the technical delivery of 16 online platforms.
Before taking up the position as General Manager of FarmGate Auctions, Chanel lived and worked abroad in Singapore as a Senior Editor with Global Public Relation Firm Weber Shandwick leading the editorial offering across consumer and tech accounts including Facebook and Spotify.
Chanel’s love of tech, solving problems through technology and grass roots background in livestock and agency businesses provides a unique combination of skills that ensures FarmGate Auctions customers are well supported across the platform and during live auctions.
Kate Gooden is from a family owned and run mixed grazing enterprise with interests across the Riverina and South West Slopes of NSW. Kate is passionate about the agricultural industry and in particular the livestock sector.
Kate has also completed her bachelor’s degree of Agribusiness with a major in finance through the University of New England (UNE). Along with the Livestock Collectives Livestock Leaders course making her a true advocate of Australian agriculture.
Prior to FarmGate Auctions, Kate held a variety of roles including working on cattle stations in the Northern Territory and Western Australia as well roles in finance and accounting, sheep genetics and grains harvesting.
Kate’s youthful enthusiasm and passion for all things agriculture as well as her agribusiness knowledge brings a depth of experience far beyond her years. Her rapport and understanding about the practicalities of auctioning livestock brings a welcome level of confidence to users of the FarmGate Auctions platform.
